Standish, Maine – No News.

Hubbardton, Vermont – No News.

Haverhill, Mass – Steve N. and Alan A. met with the Crescent Yacht Club in September and there was very positive feedback regarding this year’s race. There is definite interest in continuing the event again next year. The Club is still putting their final financial statements together for this year’s race. Next year’s event would be held on the same weekend. The tide will be high at 11:30AM on Saturday, so we would plan on running the Marathon first with the close course racing to follow. We will continue to look into the feasibility of running the Marathon both days. Whether we run the marathon both days or not, we are going to lengthen the course and the amount of laps that we run.

Taunton, Mass – No Report.

Kingston, NH – Once again, the event went off without any major disruptions. The drivers were very generous with their donations to the Kingston Food Pantry and the Town was very appreciative of our contributions. The Kingston Children’s Center’s concession operation went well and there is no question that the door is open for a 5th Annual Kingston Fall Classic. The “SSOA All Star Clash” at the conclusion of racing on Sunday was a big hit and will definitely be on the schedule for 2011.

Banquet – The banquet will be held November 20, 2010. The room is reserved from 7-11PM. The Restaurant bar will be open prior to the banquet for an informal cocktail hour. Banquet notices will be mailed out by the end of October. RSVP’s are requested as it will help us organize the room. (www.chateaurestaurant.com)

Club Hi Points – Within this Newsletter are the summaries of this year’s finishing positions for each race. Only the finishes of SSOA members are listed. Please review and if you believe that there may be an error, contact the Club Secretary. We had 630 entries this year and if we were 99.5% accurate, that still leaves the possibility that 3 mistakes may have occurred!! (Highly unlikely, but a possibility).
